George Kruckenberg - funeral recording link

The Lord has taken George Kruckenberg to himself on Tuesday, Dec. 22nd.

The funeral recording is available online at Trinity LC Loden's YouTube channel, follow this link.

Below is the message received from the Pastor of the local church which was ministering to George, and a message for us from Pastor Mark Kleckner.

Good evening,
My name is Rev. Daniel Redhage from Trinity LCMS in Lowden, Iowa.  George Kruckenberg has visited here very often as much of his family is in the area.  I wanted to make sure that you were aware that George passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday, December 22.  He had been hospitalized for several weeks, and seemed to be getting better, but it was God's will to call him to glory.
His family is planning to have the funeral here at Trinity on December 26 at 10:30 with me officiating.  As you are his pastor, I wanted to make sure that you were aware of this and wanted to extend an invitation if you would like to be part of the service.  I left a message on the Mt. Olive answering machine this morning, but with Christmas coming I thought that message might not be received until next week.  Thank you for your faithful service to George, and blessings on all your Christmas preparations.
Christ's Peace,
Dan Redhage

Dear Lord Jesus,

You were born a babe in Bethlehem, the son of Mary, so that You could keep all of the Father's commandments for us and die to pay the price for our brother George's sins and our own. Because of what You have done, George was (and also we are) able to live a life of peace without a fear of death. For You have declared sin and death's own deaths with Your resurrection from the dead. Grant Your certain hope, anticipation, and even joy of the resurrection to come to all of George's family and friends who will grieve his death. Help us to remember and trust that on the day of resurrection when You return we will get to see George again with our own eyes as we join him in Your presence and before Your throne of mercy forever. In Your holy name. Amen.
