School Tuition Organizations are charitable organizations that raise tuition grant funding for eligible students who enroll in accredited nonpublic schools in Iowa. Iowa taxpayers are contributing to a STO receive an Iowa Tax Credit equal to 65% of their contribution. The money donated is deductible as a contribution on federal taxes. Mt. Olive participates in the Heart of Iowa STO. Cory Emily, the School Principal, informed the congregation that the STO is fully funded for the 2017 tax year. He encouraged interested members to start funding the STO in January. Donation forms can be picked up in the church or school office or on the table in the gathering area.
