Letter from Pastor Mark Kleckner, 6-25-20

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

As we rapidly approach the resumption of in-person worship services at Mt. Olive on Sunday, July 19, at 9:00am, we are still continuing our weekly recorded services and drive through celebrations of the Lord's Supper. However, we need to make two adjustments in the drive through Communion Schedule:

  • There will be NO drive through Communion THIS COMING weekend, June 27 & 28. It should have been scheduled for Sunday, June 28, at 9:00am. However, this will be the date and time for our Junior Confirmation Service. Due to COVID-19 restrictions. The attendance at this service will be limited to the confirmands and their family members only. Please do pray for the Lord's Blessings upon our confirmands and their spiritual lives in the Lord going forward: Drew Dunlap, Nadia Powell, Dylan Rains, Nolan Rains, Kennedy Rice Larimer, Madeline Leyhe, Dalton Scheon, Mateya Speltz, Isaac Speltz, and Brady Thomsen.
  • There will also be NO drive through Communion NEXT weekend, July 4 & 5.  This change is due to the holiday and various travel plans by both those who administer the Supper and by many members of the congregation at large.

Therefore, the two remaining drive through celebrations of the Lord's Supper will be on Sunday, July 12th, at 9:00am, and on Saturday, July 18th, at 5:00pm. Beginning on Sunday July 19, the Lord's Supper will be celebrated as part of the regular services in the church. However, if you feel that you will not yet be comfortable returning to the live worship services at church, please call Pastor Mark (515-721-4737) to make arrangements for private communion.

God's Blessings to you all!

Pastor Mark
