Lent and Easter meals and services

An Invitation

How would you like to give the one who cooks the evening meal in your house a night off for six weeks in a row? I’m sure they would appreciate it!

We would like to invite you and your family to our midweek Lenten meals. Each Wednesday, beginning March 6 and continuing through April 10, from 5:30-6:30 pm various groups within Mt. Olive Lutheran Church will be providing a Lenten supper. The meal will be served downstairs in the Social Room of the church. The menus will vary week by week.

After Lord has nourished your bodies with the meal, He wants to nourish you spiritually as well. So, we invite you to join us also for our midweek Lenten services which will follow each meal at 6:30 pm. Other than on March 6, we will have a Lenten hymn sing prior to the service at 6:20 pm.

The theme of our Lenten services is “Cross Purposes.” During the season of Lent we humbly and repentantly walk with our Savior on His journey to the cross. Through these services we will be brought to realize that in Jesus all of God’s promises are fulfilled and that at His cross all our sins are forever crossed out!

We are looking forward to having you join us for our Lenten meals and services!

God’s blessings to you and your family,

Pastor Mark Kleckner
